Who we are

West Coast Botanicals is a locally manufactured skincare range suitable for most skin types. We use natural ingredients like rooibos extract, apricot kernel oil, aloe extract, and CBD oil. These ingredients reduce inflammation in sensitive skin and leave your skin feeling moisturised and soothed.

As part of our commitment to minimizing our environmental footprint,we strive to keep our ingredients and packaging as environmentally friendly as possible. Most of our products come in glass containers, and we make use eco-friendly ink for the stickers.

We are introducing a reuse and refill station where your containers will be cleaned and refilled, to help minimize our footprint even more.

CBD Oil

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, that has numerous health benefits.

Rooibos Extract

Rooibos is extremely high in antioxidants due to alpha hydroxyl acid and zinc content, and this revitalizes and invigorates the skin.

Aloe Extract

Aloe is known for its calming effect. The plant contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A & C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot Kernel oil moisturizes dry, sensitive skin & smooths out blemishes, wrinkles, fine lines & facilitates healing.

Hi, I’m Christel Heunis the owner of West Coast Botanicals Skincare. I still pinch myself when I realize I’ve gone from a happy WCB customer to the owner of WCB.

The opportunity to continue offering the luxurious, effective skincare range was something I couldn’t allow to pass me by. I was introduced to the skincare range by a friend in 2020, I have combination skin, and it leans toward sensitive. Over the years I’ve used many high-end brands, and I just never felt confident about my skin. Fast forward to today, where I’m comfortable with no make-up and I’m still caught off-guard when I receive compliments about my skin. Let me be clear, I never left the house without make-up!

I am a curious introvert that loves listening to music, learning, coffee (read snob) and baking. I value honesty, integrity, generosity and authentic self-expression. My favorite quote to live by is by Maya Angelou and reads ‘When you know better, you do better.’ Last but not least, I have a wicked sense of humor!
